A docent at the Riga Stradiņš University Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, reads qualification improvement course lectures for physicians. A member of the Association of Anaesthetists-Reanimatologists of Latvia.
Docent Ilze Šalma is an author and co-author of several scientific publications and patents. She regularly participates in Latvian and international conferences and seminars. She is a researcher in several European and Latvian scientific projects.
She has a 20-year experience in anesthesiology.
Defended her thesis and acquired the Doctorate of Medicine and Philosophy (MD-PhD) in 2009.
