Information about COVID-19

Procedure for patient appointments

Dear patients! In order to create a safe environment for the patients and employees of the clinic, in accordance with the regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 662, the clinic has adopted the following procedure for admitting patients:

  • Acute patients should contact the reception (phone +371 67455586 or in person at reception) to make an appointment on the same day or next day
  • A vaccination or recovery certificate must be presented for scheduled surgical manipulation or dental treatment under general anaesthesia or sedation. Persons who do not have the above-mentioned certificate must present a negative Covid-19 test valid for 72 hours
  • Please come for your appointment without accompanying persons. For children - one accompanying person
  • Please come to the Institute wearing a mask
  • Please keep a 2-metre distance inside the Institute
  • Remember to wash and sanitize your hands

You will not be seen by a doctor:

  • If you have any symptoms of an upper respiratory tract infection – rhinitis, cough, elevated body temperature, sore throat, breathing problems – or are feeling unwell
  • If you are required to stay in self-isolation or quarantine
  • The Institute of Stomatology will neither see patients who within the past 10 days have returned from abroad*

Emergency admission procedure for patients, in self-isolation:

  • Patients with acute situations (inflammation of soft tissue - superficial and deep abscesses, purulent wounds, infection or allergic reaction related oedema, which is complicated in the form of swallowing or respiratory disorders, dental trauma, severe dental pain in the event of pulpitis, periodontitis and pericoronitis), who have been admitted to be contact persons and are currently in self-isolation after return from abroad, and do not have symptoms of Covid-19, shall be admitted on the basis of prior appointment only, with a FFP2 respirator.
