Combined tooth treatment and extraction under sedation for adults

In order to ensure patients' comfort and reduce anxiety during dental procedures, since March RSU Institute of Stomatology offers combined tooth treatment and extraction under sedation.

Sedation is an intravenous administration of sedative drugs which reduce fear and anxiety during dental treatment procedures.

This method increases patients' comfort during treatment and reduce the risk of complications related to anxiety, such as:

  • fainting;
  • high blood pressure;
  • heart rhythm disorder;
  • vomiting reflex.

The method is intended for the patients in need of combined treatment which includes tooth treatment and extraction.

Combined treatment is provided due to cooperation between the Clinic of Therapeutic Stomatology, Clinic of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and specialists in anaesthesia.

In order to undergo tooth treatment and extraction under sedation, prior to the treatment patients require dentist's consultation and radiological examinations for treatment planning. The dentist will inform the patient in case the anaesthesiologist's consultation will be required.

The cost of sedation for 1-hour treatment is EUR 50. Prices for tooth treatment, tooth extraction according to the price list of the Institute and individual manipulations required by each patient.
